The Ministry of Islamic affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance has been distributing 250,000 publications on a daily basis to the pilgrims, who are leaving via King Abdulaziz International Airport and Jeddah Islamic Port as a gift from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. Talal al-Okeil, the advisor of the minister of Islamic affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance and head of the information committee for Islamic awareness , said the distribution of the King's gift will continue up to the mid of the lunar month of Muharram. This will raise the publications distributed to the pilgrims to 15 million. The publications are in various languages including Urdu, Hausa, English, French, Thai, Indonesian, Chinese, Spanish, Malabari, Russian, Turkish, German and Albanian. The gift also includes a cassette for the recitation of the Holy Quran and four books explaining the principles of Islam in 25 international languages. Al-Okeil pointed out that the ministry has recruited 400 employees and 70 employees who work around the clock for this purpose.
