The Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin Abdulaziz has ordered distribution of 2,345,412 copies of the Holy Quran in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad. Under King Fahd's order, these copies of the Quran alongwith the translation of its meanings, which are printed at the Madinah-based King Fahd Holy Quran Printing Complex, will be distributed at the Holy Mosque in Makkah; the branches of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance in various regions of the Kingdom, some governmental and non-governmental administrations in Saudi Arabia and Saudi embassies in some countries. This was announced by Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh Bin Abdul-Aziz Al Al-Sheikh. The meanings of the Holy Quran will be in 17 languages including English, Urdu, Indonesian, French, Albanian, Spanish, Korean, Thai, German, Russian, Chinese, Turkish, Portuguese and others.
