JEDDAH: Haj pilgrims leaving the Kingdom for home are each getting a copy of the Holy Qur'an in their own language as a gift from King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. More than 250,000 copies have been distributed to pilgrims every day at air, land and sea exit points, totaling 1.7 million copies. Dr. Musaed Bin Ibrahim Al-Hudaithi, Ministry of Islamic Affairs' Undersecretary for Prints and Scientific Research Affairs, said the King's gift is distributed at 13 exit points and is in several languages including Urdu, Hausa, English, French, Thai, Indonesian, Chinese, Spanish, Russian, Turkish, German and Albanian. A number of heads of Haj delegations expressed their appreciation at the services provided by the King for the guests of Allah. Dr. Abdul Salam Bin Dawoud Al-Abbadi, Jordan's Minister of Endowment and Islamic Affairs and head of the Haj delegation, and Judge Homoud Abdul Hameed Al-Hattar, Yemen's Minister of Endowments and Guidance and head of his country's delegation, said the King has endeared himself to pilgrims with his deeds.
