1428 AH (2007) with percentage of 3.1 in comparison of the year 1426-1427 AH (2006) according to estimations of the General statistics department and information. As regards the factors of the diminishing Gross Domestic Product for non- petroleum sector, which is considered among the most important Economic indexes for measuring inflation on the overall economic level, it is expected to witness a hike of 1.6 percent in the year 1427-1428 AH (2007) in comparison to what it had been earlier. As regards the net of the Public Debt, The Minister of Finance pointed out that the preliminary expectations indicated the size of the Public Debt will drop at the end of the current fiscal year 1427-1428 AH (2007) to SR. 267 billion to reduce its percentage to about 19 per cent of the expected Gross Domestic Product by the end of the current fiscal year in comparison with 28 per cent at the end of past fiscal year 1426-1427 (2006). The finance Minister said that consideration was given while preparing the New Budget to invest financial resources in a way that realize the requirements of the comprehensive and permanent development and giving priority for services that directly affect the Citizen such as health, education, social, municipality, water, sewage, Roads and electronic dealings as well as supporting scientific research within science and technology plan and basic infrastructure projects. He pointed out that this budget is continuation to the noble Royal directives to focus on capital expenditure which include new development projects in all parts of the Kingdom that with Almighty Allah will help these projects to raise rates of the Economic growth and find new job opportunities for citizens and encourage investments. The Minister of Culture and Information concluded his statement by saying that The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques urged the Council's members and all officials to thank Almighty Allah for unaccountable bounties bestowed on this Country and stressed also that efforts of all officials should be for pleasing Almighty Allah and thanks Almighty Allah for serving our Religion and our home Country. All who undertake responsibility should observe his conscience and to be faithful for the homeland and to remain sincere and work patiently for their religion and country. The homeland is in need of loyalty, tireless work, vigilance and good behavior from every official. The standing principle should always be in our minds.. the religion and the homeland as well as patience and work."
