"Istiska" - the rain-seeking prayers were performed Monday morning throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in pursuit of the teachings of The Prophet (Peace be upon him) to pray to the Almighty Allah for the rain-fall. Muslims performed 'Istiska' Prayers at the Two holy mosques in Makkah and Madinah as well as in the rest of the mosques throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The prayers at the Holy Mosque in Makkah was led by Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-sudais, who advised Muslims in his sermon to adhere to the Islamic code and teachings and to refrain from committing sins as well as to abide by virtues and contemplate for bounties bestowed on them by the Almighty Allah, and always remain God fearing people. The prayers were led at the Prophet's mosque in Madinah by Sheikh Abdul-bari Al-Sabaiti. Prince Abdul-aziz bin Majed bin Abdul-aziz, the Governor of Madinah region along with a large number of Muslims attended the prayers. Sheikh Al-Sabaiti also Advised people to be God-fearing and to adhere to the Islamic code and teachings and to promote virtues and refrain from sins.
