Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabee'a, head of the medical team who carried out the surgical operation to separate the Omani Siamese twins at Riyadh King Abdulaziz Medical City last Saturday confirmed the stable condition of the patients after their fourth post-operation day, expecting their discharge from the intensive care unit next week. In a press statement today, Al-Rabee'a said Safa'a and Marwa, the Omani female twins, are now breathing well with all vital organs working smoothly and properly. He said he believes they would be discharged from the I. C. U. during next week. The 18-hour operation was performed by a group of nearly 60 supervisors, specialists and technicians.
