US dollar mostly up, gold down in European trading

The U.S. dollar was mostly higher other
major currencies in European trading Monday. Gold fell, according to AP.
The euro traded at US$1.4151, down from US$1.4296 late
Friday in New York.

_0.9795 Canadian dollars, up from 0.9635
The British pound was quoted at US$2.0270, down from
$2.0500.
Gold traded in London at US$749.80 per troy ounce, down
from US$762.15 late Friday.
In Zurich, gold traded at US$746.60 bid per troy ounce,
down from US$758.40.
Silver opened in London at US$13.38, down from US$13.47.
