At least nine people, including seven troopers, were killed Thursday when a cooking-gas cylinder exploded in an Army camp in India-administered Kashmir, dpa quoted officials as saying. The blast occurred in the canteen of the Engineers Regiment of the Army, 45 kilometres west of the state capital Srinagar. Seven soldiers and two civilians were killed in the explosion that damaged the building inside the camp, a police official said, requesting anonymity. "The toll could go up as three of the eight wounded in the blast sustained serious injuries and were being treated at a hospital," he added.
