A soldier was killed and another wounded when a roadside bomb hit their patrol in eastern Baghdad, the U.S. military announced in a statement Sunday. It said the incident took place Saturday and identified the roadside bomb as an explosive-formed penetrator. The identity of the soldier was not released pending notification of relatives. The latest death raised to at least 3,796 members of the U.S. military who have died since the Iraq war started in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
