The Arab Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) Health Ministers will hold their 63rd session on May 14 on fringes of the upcoming General Assembly of the World Health Organization scheduled to take place in Geneva. Dr. Tawfeeq Khoja, the Director General of the Executive Board of the GCC Health Ministerial Council said the meeting will discuss a number of important issues including an executive strategic plan to combat Diabetes, efficiency of health care, patients safety and UAE Declaration to make Health Facilities more Patients' friendly. It will also review Primary Health Care, Occupational Safety, the GCC International Health Survey and making Arab Peninsula Malaria-free, DR. Khoja Added. Dr. Khoja expressed his hope that this meeting would opt for effective decisions that meet expectations of the GCC leaders and citizens. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
