Pakistan s stall at the 3-day South Asia Travel and Tourism Fair in New Delhi has won the best award of the event, said an official statement. Besides the South Asian states, a number of other countries including Egypt participated in the fair. Twenty stakeholders in the sphere of tourism from Pakistan led by Tourism Minister Nilofar Bakhtiar participated in the fair, showcasing Pakistan s great potential in the field. She said Pakistan successfully introduced its tourism industry at the fair which will help in promoting it for the benefit of the country. Ms Bakhtiar said Pakistan had taken important initiatives as a result of which the country had become a tourist destination. Pakistan has a rich heritage, shrines, ancient buildings, culture and beautiful mountains to attract tourists, she said. The Minister said the fair gave an opportunity to Pakistan to introduce its great heritage.
