THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ HAS GIVEN THE OKAY FOR A NUMBER OF DECISIONS SUBMITTED TO HIM BY THE MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION, MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION DR. KHALID AL-ANQARY SAID TODAY.
AMONG THE DECISIONS MADE BY THE KING WERE THE TRANSFER OF TEACHERS COLLEGES AND GIRLS COLLEGES FROM THE MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION TO UNIVERSITIES, THE OPTIONAL APPLICATION OF HOUR-BASED EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IN UNIVERSITIES, THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FACULTY OF MEDICINE AT IMAM MOHAMMED BIN SAUD ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, FOUR COLLEGES AT KING SAUD UNIVERSITY: DENTISTRY SCIENCES, APPLIED MEDICAL SCIENCES, PUBLIC HEALTH, AND HEALTH INFORMATICS AND THREE COLLEGES AT RIYADH GIRLS UNIVERSITY AS FACULTY OF SCIENCE, FACULTY OF COMPUTER AND INFORMATION AND FACULTY OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, THE ESTABLISHMENT OF FOUR COLLEGES AS AFFILIATES OF KING SAUD UNIVERSITY; TWO IN KHARJ PROVINCE (MEDICINE AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION) AND TWO IN MAJMA'A PROVINCE (APPLIED MEDICAL SCIENCES AND ENGINEERING), THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COLLEGE FOR SCIENCES AND ARTS AT BEESHA PROVINCE, AFFILIATING TO KING KHALID UNIVERSITY , A COLLEGE FOR SOCIETY IN TAREEF PROVINCE AND TRANSFERENCE OF THE COMPUTER AND INFORMATION DEPARTMENTS AT THE SCIENCE COLLEGE AND THE COMPUTER AND NETWORKS AT THE FACULTY OF ENGINEERING TO BECOME AN INDEPENDENT COLLEGE TO BE NAMED THE COMPUTER AND INFORMATION COLLEGE, THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE INSTITUTE FOR TOURISM AT KING ABDULAZIZ UNIVERSITY, THE ESTABLISHMENT OF CONTEMPORARY ISLAMIC STUDIES AND DIALOGUE AMONG CIVILIZATIONS COLLEGE AT IMAM MOHAMMED BIN SAUD UNIVERSITY, THE ESTABLISHMENT OF MICRO-TECHNOLOGY CENTER AT KING ABDULAZIZ UNIVERSITY, AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A NUMBER OF SUPPORT DEANSHIPS IN SOME UNIVERSITIES.
