King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has approved the establishment of ten new colleges in some provinces and seven faculties in selected universities in the Kingdom. Minister of Higher Education Khalid Al-Anqari said the King, who is also the chairman of the Council on Higher Education, approved the move based on the decisions adopted by the council during its 48th session. The seven faculties to be established are: the applied medical sciences in Hassa, architecture and planning at Qassim university, languages at Najran university, administrative sciences and tourism at Umm Al-Qura university, engineering in Dawadmi, computer sciences and information technology for girls in Majma, and engineering at Imam Mohammed Bin Saud Islamic university. Al-Anqari also said the council has approved the establishment of an intensive care unit at the faculty of medicine at King Saud University.
