THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ, PREMIER AND CHAIRMAN OF SUPREME EDUCATION COUNCIL APPROVED A NUMBER OF DECISIONS TAKEN BY THE COUNCIL IN ITS 44TH SESSION. IN A STATEMENT TO THE SAUDI PRESS AGENCY, DR. KHALID BIN MOHAMMED AL-ANQARI, THE MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION SAID THAT THE DECISIONS INCLUDED THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ENGINEERING FACULTY OF KING ABDULAZIZ UNIVERSITY IN TABUK; ENGINEERING FACULTY OF KING FAISAL UNIVERSITY BRANCH IN DAMMAM; PHARMACY AND DENTISTRY FACULTIES AND BIOLOGY AND CHEMISTRY DEPARTMENTS AT SCIENCE FACULTY OF JOAF UNIVERSITY; AND DEPARTMENT OF FINANCIAL SCIENCES AT ADMINISTRATIVE AND PLANNING FACULTY OF KING FAISAL UNIVERSITY. HE NOTED THAT THE KING ALSO APPROVED EXTENSION OF TERMS OF OFFICE OF A NUMBER OF DEPUTY DIRECTORS OF UNIVERSITIES. THE MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION POINTED OUT THAT THE KING'S APPROVAL OF THESE DECISIONS EMBODIES THE CARE AND ATTENTION PAID BY THE KING AND THE CROWN PRINCE TO THE EDUCATION MARCH IN THE KINGDOM.
