IN LINE WITH THE DECISIONS TAKEN BY MAKKAH EXTRAORDINARY SUMMIT, THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA HAS PAID ITS ENTIRE SHARE AT THE FOURTH GENERAL INCREASE OF THE CAPITAL OF JEDDAH-BASED ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK (IDB). THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ IN HIS CABLE OF REPLY EXPRESSED APPRECIATION FOR THE HEARTFELT FEELINGS SPELT OUT BY THE IDB'S PRESIDENT DR AHMAD MOHAMMED ALI IN HIS CABLE TO HIM. IN HIS CABLE TO THE KING, DR AHMAD MOHAMMED ALI LAUDED THE KINGDOM'S PIONEERING ROLE IN THE SUPPORT OF THE BANK, AND EXPRESSED APPRECIATION FOR THE RECENT SUPPORT EXTENDED BY THE KINGDOM TO THE IDB, AND SAID THE KINGDOM HAS ALWAYS BEEN A PIONEER IN THE MARCH OF THE JOINT ISLAMIC WORK. HE NOTED THAT THE RECENT SUPPORT EXTENDED BY THE KINGDOM TO THE IDB WILL ENABLE THE BANK TO SHOULDER ITS RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS ENHANCING THE PILLARS OF THE ISLAMIC SOLIDARITY.
