King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, on Saturday lauded the efforts of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). In his reply cable addressed to Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali, President of IDB, on receiving the third annual report of the IDB works and activities, the King said Saudi Arabia was determined to support joint Islamic action for the benefit of all Muslims. In his letter to the King attached with the annual report, Dr. Ali expressed his thanks for the support IDB gets from the government, Saudi Press Agency reported. The IDB president disclosed that the bank's total lending until last year (fiscal year of 1427 AH) amounted to $5.48 billion, equivalent to approximately SR20.55 billion for the benefit of both member non-member states. This brings the cumulative total extended by the IDB during the current fiscal year, to approximately $61.7 billion equivalent to about SR231.3 billion for the benefit of 56 member states, and for 72 Muslim communities in non
