ALSO TAKING PART WERE THE AFFILIATES OF THE OIC AND ITS SPECIALIZED INSTITUTIONS INCLUDING ISLAMIC COUNTRIES BROADCASTING ORGANIZATION (ICBO) AND ISLAMIC NEWS AGENCY (INA), ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK (IDB), ISLAMIC EDUCATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATION (ISESCO) WHILE THE UNESCO TOOK PART AS AN INVITEE. FOLLOWING RECITATION OF VERSES FROM THE HOLY QURAN, THE SAUDI ARABIAN MINISTER OF CULTURE AND INFORMATION IYAD BIN AMEEN MADANI WAS UNANIMOUSLY ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF THE SEVENTH SESSION OF THE ISLAMIC CONFERENCE OF THE INFORMATION MINISTERS. MEMBERS OF THE BUREAU WERE PALESTINE, SENEGAL AND IRAN AS DEPUTIES OF THE CHAIRMAN AND EGYPT AS RAPPORTEUR. THEN THE MEETING APPROVED THE AGENDA AS SUGGESTED BY THE SENIOR OFFICIALS MEETINGS HELD IN JEDDAH EARLY THIS WEEK. --MORE
