This was announced by Minister for Islamic Affairs, Endowment, Call, & Guidance Saleh bin Abdul-aziz bin Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, who thanked King Abdullah for his keenness to make the Holy Quran available for Muslims all over the world. Al Al-Sheikh also said that the copies will be distributed to the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah; Indian Muslims Center in Abu Dhabi; Islamic Heritage Society in Kuwait; Al-Tebsi School for Memorizing the Holy Quran in Algeria; King Abdullah Center in Cameroon; Islamic Da'wah Mission in India; Islamic Centers in Russia, Muslim Youth League in Sierra Leone; Islamic School in Gabon; Islamic Fateh Institute in Kenya; Chief of Courts in Comoro Islands in addition to some centers in Kosova, Togo and Ghana. Al-Shaikh added that the distribution will also cover Saudi embassies and consulates in several cities and countries such as in Washington; Ankara; Brasilia; Copenhagen; Kabul; Manila; Colombo; Dubai; Algiers; Uganda; Alexandria; Abu Dhabi, Malaysia and Africa. He said that the order included distribution of the Holy Quran to a number of bodies affiliated to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowment, Call, & Guidance; Ministry of Education; Ministry of Culture and Information; Ministry of Health, Muslim World League and Al-Qassim University.
