Ministers of Agriculture from member countries of The Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) concluded their 17th meeting of the Agricultural Cooperation Committee here today. During the meeting, Two executive draft laws for pesticides and fertilizers were approved. The permanent committee of the agricultural policies and regulations is to study coordination among member countries as regards information exchange with international organizations and bodies about pesticides to make a GCC data base in addition to some other agricultural technical issues. Also, the member countries approved the mechanism of facing animal diseases and epidemics. The meeting also discussed the GCC unified memorandum of understanding (MOU) with main animal exporting countries. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
