The American Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) renewed the license of the Technical Affairs wing in The Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA) to repair planes and their equipment until June 2007 after a recent visit by FAA's special inspection committee to various departments of SAA's Technical Affairs. Assistant Director General of SAA's Technical Affairs Ali Mela'tt said that the committee has highlighted in this regard the performance level of SAA's Technical Affairs which has been granted the license since 1984. Mela'tt also said that this achievement shows the ability of SAA to maintain its huge fleet, pointing out that such a license had been granted to only few companies in the Middle East and the West Asia.
