THE DOCUMENT, ENTITLED JORDANIAN-SPANISH AMMAN DECLARATION, ENVISAGED AMONG OTHER THINGS AN IN-DEPTH DIALOGUE BETWEEN ISLAM AND CHRISTIANITY, AN ACADEMIC APPROACH FOR COMBATING EXTREMISM AND A "BALANCE" BETWEEN FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND RELIGIOUS FREEDOM. THE DOCUMENT WAS ADOPTED BY SPANISH FOREIGN MINISTER MIGUEL MORATINOS AND HIS JORDANIAN COUNTERPART ABDUL ILAH KHATIB ON THE OCCASION OF THE ARRIVAL IN JORDAN EARLIER OF SPAIN'S ROYAL COUPLE, KING JUAN CARLOS AND QUEEN SOFIA, FOR A THREE-DAY STATE VISIT.
