The Saudi Development Fund (SDF) has approved five soft loans worth SR392 million to Yemen to help finance a number of development projects in the neighboring country. Ahmed Mohammed Sofan, Deputy Premier and Minister of Planning and Development of Yemen has received an official note from Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Alassaf, the Minister of Finance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of SDF, handed over to him by the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed bin Mirdas Algahtani. According to the note, a loan worth SR112 million will be used to help finance Alhodaidah Central Hospital; the second loan amounting to SR45 million will be allocated for the construction of the Taez-based College of Medicine and Health Sciences; the third amounting to SR90 million will be allotted for Haidan/Al-Jumaa/Al-Minzalah road; the fourth equaling SR26250000 will be used to construct Majaz/Ghamr/Razeh road; and the last amounting to SR118750000 will be used for Omrah/Al-Ahzoom/Hijja/Kashar/Arahab/Hazm Al-Joaf road. During the meeting, Sofan expressed gratitude for the SDF's role in support of numerous development projects in Yemen.
