Al-Assad to Visit Iran

Syrian President Basahr Al-Assad will arrive in Tehran on Saturday to hold talks with a number of senior Iranian officials, said Iranian press sources here today.
President Bashar Al-Assad is scheduled to confer during his two-day visit with Guide of the Iranian revolution Ali Khameni, President Mohammed Khatami and President-Elect Mahmoud Ahmad Nijad as well as Hashemi Rafsanjani, the Head of the Expediency Council.
His talks in Tehran will cover a number of regional issues notably the situation in Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq.
