Annan calls on Pakistani President

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan has had a telephone call with President General Pervez Musharraf on a long term relief and rehabilitation plan for the quake victims in Pakistan, according to an official statement.
During their 15-minute conversation, they discussed long-term plans for reconstruction work in the quake devastated areas.
President Musharraf appreciated the personal efforts of the UN Secretary General for the support he is extending to Pakistan in this difficult time.
