Sri Lank's Prime Minister Mahinda Rajabaksa and Saudi Ambassador to Sri Lanka and the Maldives Mohammed bin Mahmoud Alali have tonight co-laid the foundation stone of the Brain and Neurology Surgery Center at Colombo General Hospital which will be financed by the Saudi Development Fund at a cost of $12 million. The nine-story building will be built on an area of 19,000 sq. m. The prime minister thanked the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its generous contribution to development projects in Sri Lanka. On his part, the Minister of Health of Sri Lanka, who was among the attendees, expressed gratitude for the Kingdom for financing this giant medical facility. A big number of officials were also present.
