At least 13 people, including two children, died and eight were seriously injured on Saturday when a bus and a cement truck collided on Kenya's busy Nairobi-Nakuru highway, witnesses said. The accident occurred near the town of Naivasha and police said the force of the collision was so great that most of the dead were cut into pieces. "It seems the lorry had no brakes, it ripped through the bus and then landed under a bridge. It is a terrible thing," Naivasha police boss Simon Kiragu told Reuters. Police said six men, five women and two children travelling in the bus died and five people were admitted to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
