Five persons died and another six were injured in the head-on collision between a mini-bus and a truck in Chechnya. Earlier reports said six people had been killed and five had been injured. Spokesman for the republic's emergency situations department Timur Taisumov told Itar-Tass that a GAZelle mini-bus, headed for Khasavyurt from Urus-Martan, collided with a KAMAZ truck on federal highway M29 near the village of Dzhalka at around 09:00, Moscow time. "Four persons were killed outright and the fifth died in hospital later. Six victims were hospitalized to a Gudermes hospital with injuries of various severity. There are no children among them," Taisumov said. Police are ascertaining the cause of the road accident.
