The Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) welcomed today the signing of Sudan's new transitional constitution by President Omar Hasan Al-Bashir and affirmed that it would bring about peace and prosperity to all Sudanese people. In a statement issued here today by the Council's General Secretariat, the GCC stressed the need for all Sudanese people to unify their efforts to build a bright future for their country and to restore its leading role at regional and international arenas. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
