A separation surgery of the Egyptian Siamese twins began here on Saturday morning at King Abdulaziz National Guard Medical City. It is conducted by a 35-member Saudi medical team led by Dr Abdullah Al-Rabee'a, the Executive Director General of the Health Affairs at the National Guard. Crown prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, had earlier issued directives to conduct the operation at King Abdulaziz National Guard Medical City on the Egyptian twins, "A'la and Wal-ae." The operation, which will take about ten hours, is the tenth of its kind to be conducted at King Abdulaziz National Guard Medical City. With the grace of the Almighty Allah, all such operations have so far been successful.
