Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology Eng. Mohammed Al-Mullah will open here on Sunday the Fourth International Exhibition for Information Technology, GITEX, Saudi Arabia, 2005. About 500 local, Arab and international companies are expected to participate in the show, and more than 80,000 persons are expected to visit the 5-day show. Mohammed Al-Husseini, the Deputy Director of Riyadh Exhibitions Company, said the organization of the Exhibition in Riyadh provides a clear evidence for the importance of the Saudi market in the field of information technology. He noted that companies from the American countries, Britain, Cyprus, the Untied Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan and Kuwait will participate in the show. GITEX, Saudi Arabia, 2005, will provide a good opportunity to conclude deals for meeting the requirements of individuals, business sector as well as the governmental sectors. About SR 20 billion are invested in the Saudi market in the field of information technology, which is considered the biggest in the Gulf region.
