At least 19 people were killed and 24 wounded in a car accident Wednesday in northwestern Mexico, federal highway police said. The accident, in the state of Baja California Sur, apparently involved a passenger bus, a truck and a car. It occurred on a highway that crosses the peninsula about 150 kilometres from the state capital, La Paz, a highway police spokesman said. ---SP 2303 Local Time 2003 GMT
