Police killed two suspected rebels during a sweep in Chechnya on Sunday, officials said. The suspects were killed while resisting arrest in the town of Achkhoi-Martan in southwestern Chechnya, said Chechen Interior Ministry spokesman Ruslan Atsayev. But police did manage to arrest two other men suspected of belonging to the same group of rebels, who have been accused of involvement in a raid on a police station in western Chechnya earlier this month, Atsayev said in a telephone interview.
