The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, condemned the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia with two booby-trapped drones targeting the Al-Dabba oil terminal in Hadramout, Yemen. The Secretary-General stressed, during a phone call today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of Yemen, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, that this attack is a flagrant violation of Security Council Resolution No. 2216, international laws and norms, and a threat to civil and economic facilities and global energy supplies and corridors. Dr. Al Hajraf called on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards such attacks, to ensure that they are not repeated in a manner that preserves the movement of trade and oil supplies, as well as preserves security and stability in the region. The Secretary-General stressed that this attack is an escalation of the terrorist Houthi militia after the end of the UN truce in Yemen, affirming the firm position of GCC in supporting everything that guarantees the security and stability of Yemen.
