In Implementation of Directives of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Surgical Operation to Separate Yemeni Siamese Twins "Mawaddah and Rahmah" to be Conducted This Thursday
In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, it was decided to conduct the surgical operation to separate the Yemeni Siamese twins "Mawaddah and Rahmah" from Aden Governorate, this Thursday, at King Abdullah Specialized Children's Hospital in King Abdulaziz Medical City at the Ministry of National Guard in Riyadh. This came in a press statement to the Advisor at the Royal Court, the General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the head of the medical and surgical team, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah. He expected that the surgery will take about 11 hours, indicating that it would be carried out in 6 stages, with 28 participating doctors and specialists, in addition to technicians and nursing cadres, adding that the Yemeni Siamese twins are female, and were born connected to the lower chest and abdomen. In his name and on behalf of the members of the medical and surgical team, Dr. Al-Rabeeah thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for the great support that the medical team and the health sector in the Kingdom receive from the wise leadership.
