In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Yemeni Siamese twins "Aisha Ahmad Saeed Mohaymoud", belonging to Al Mahrah governorate, Yemen, will undergo a separation surgery at King Abdullah Specialist Hospital for Pediatrics, an affiliate of the Ministry of the National Guard, reported the Advisor at the Royal Court, General Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, who is also head of the medical and surgical team specialized in this kind of operation. In remarks to highlight the event, he expected the surgery to take approximately 8 and a half hours, through eight stages, with the participation of 25 doctors and specialists, as well as technicians and nursing staff. It is worth mentioning that tomorrow's surgery will be the 50th of its kind as part of the Kingdom's pioneering experience over three decades, in which 117 cases of Siamese twins from 22 countries on three continents around the world were performed. To mark the occasion, Dr. Al-Rabeeah, expressed in his own name and on behalf of the members of the medical and surgical team, deep thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for their great support accorded to the medical team and the health sector in the Kingdom, citing the noble humanitarian gestures they provide for the needy all the time.
