Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf highlighted the importance of benefiting from the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations, held under GCC auspices, to end the conflict, move forwards to the peaceful solution, and create a solid ground to embark on a political track among all components of the Yemeni people, stressing, at the same time, GCC's support for the efforts of the international community and international envoys. Al-Hajraf made these remarks during a meeting today in Riyadh with UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg. During the meeting, both sides discussed issues of mutual concern and political efforts aimed at ending the war and reaching a political settlement through Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue and consultations under the auspices of GCC, in addition to the significance of reaching a comprehensive and sustainable peace based on the three international references, stressing readiness to provide all necessary support for the success of the consultations and reaching a comprehensive political solution that can end the war and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people. The secretary general praised the effective participation of Grundberg in the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations that are held under the GCC's auspices.
