The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf, reiterated the GCC keenness to end the Yemeni crisis through a political solution, in accordance with the three references represented by the GCC Initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and Security Council Resolution 2216. This came during a phone call with the envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Yemen, Hans Grundberg today, where Dr. Al-Hajraf stressed the importance of continuing and integrating international efforts to reach a solution to the Yemeni crisis, based on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's initiative for a ceasefire, and to push for a political solution to prevail in the interests of Yemen and Yemenis, looking forward to working with Grundberg to continue efforts aimed at a comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis and the achievement of security and stability in the region.
