Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf has stressed the importance of Yemeni-Yemeni consultations under the GCC's auspices to end the conflict in Yemen and support everything that would achieve security and stability, praising at the same time the efforts of the international community to end the conflict in Yemen through Security Council resolutions. This came during his meeting today with the US Special Envoy for Yemen, Timothy A. Lenderking, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh. During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues, most notably the importance of seizing the current opportunity of the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations under the GCC's auspices to end the conflict so that Yemen and its people reach a comprehensive peace. The secretary general said that the success of the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations is not an option rather a duty that requires all to feel the national responsibility and discard all reasons of division and domestic differences and to effectively contribute to realizing the required and urgent national reconciliation necessary to build a clear future map to restore stability in Yemen and achieve the development and welfare of its people. Dr. Al-Hajraf valued the active participation of the US Special Envoy for Yemen in the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations held under the auspices of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States.
