Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues its leadership roles and effective initiatives for recovering from the severe effects of COVID-19 pandemic. Saud Arabia led a unique initiative during its presidency of the G20 in the year 2020 and achieved remarkable success in registering cultural path to the agenda of the G20 summit, which was supported by the Executive Council of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) the paper said. In this regard, Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan has participated in meeting the Ministers of Culture of the G20 countries and met with a number of officials of international cultural organizations, the paper added. The minister's participation aims to create an effective international dialogue that would contribute to get the culture and creativity sectors recovered from the repercussions of COCID-19 pandemic and to achieve the full potential of these sectors, the paper further added. The Saudi initiatives have contributed to promoting the outputs of the cultural sectors which are seen as a key factor of sustainability and growth in the cultural and creative industries. Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's economy is characterized by its strong pillars and its growing components which contributed to increasing the contribution of all non-oil governmental and non-oil sectors to the gross national income and sustainable comprehensive development. The Saudi economy is seen as one of the twenty largest economies in the world, as it achieved quality and sustainable achievements, the paper added. Saudi economy successfully overcame the global economy's challenges due to COVID-19, the paper concluded. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the aspects related to pace research and projects are among key goals of the Kingdom's vision 2030. In this regard, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Space Commission (SSC) Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha has met with senior officials in the space sector and its technologies in Paris, the paper added. The meeting, which was attended by a number of officials from both sides, discussed opportunities for strategic cooperation in developing the space sector, and investing in future joint projects in the space sector, the paper further added.
