President Iajuddin Ahmed of Bangladesh received here today Dr. Salih bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Chairman of Shoura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and his accompanying delegation. During the reception, Dr. Bin Humaid conveyed to the President the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier and their best wishes of steady progress and prosperity for Bangladesh. On his part, the Bangladeshi president praised the Kingdom for playing a great role in the service of Islamic countries and their issues and its continuous stand by Muslims all over the world. He also commended the Kingdom's continuous support for developmental projects in Bangladesh and assistance in building its infrastructure. Dr. Bin Humaid also met here today Bangladesh's Speaker of Parliament Mohammed Jameer. They discussed the situations in Iraq and Palestine and ways of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in parliamentary fields. Dr. Bin Humaid also met Bangladesh's Foreign Minister Mirshid Khan and reviewed ways of boosting bilateral relations.
