URUGUAY'S PRESIDENT TABARE VAZUEZ RECEIVED HERE TODAY SHEIKH DR. SALIH BIN ABDULLAH BIN HOMAID, CHAIRMAN OF THE SAUDI SHOURA COUNCIL CURRENTLY ON A VISIT TO URUGUAY. DURING THE MEETING, DR. BIN HOMAID CONVEYED TO THE URUGUAYAN PRESIDENT THE GREETINGS OF THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ AND VICE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES PRINCE SULTAN BIN ABDULAZIZ. IN TURN, THE PRESIDENT SENT HIS GREETINGS TO KING ABDULLAH AND PRINCE SULTAN. DR. BIN HOMAID COMMENDED DEEP RELATIONS BINDING THE TWO COUNTRIES, STRESSING THE SUCCESS OF HIS VISIT IN ENHANCING BILATERAL RELATIONS IN POLITICAL, COMMERCIAL, CULTURAL AND PARLIAMENTARY FIELDS. ON HIS PART, THE URUGUAYAN PRESIDENT DESCRIBED RELATIONS BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES AS DISTINGUISHED AND STRONG. THE CHAIRMAN OF THE SHOURA COUNCIL HAS ALSO MET WITH URUGUAYAN FOREIGN MINISTER REINALDO GARGANA. THEY DISCUSSED TOPICS OF MUTUAL INTEREST AND WAYS OF ENHANCING BILATERAL RELATIONS. THE MEETINGS WERE ATTENDED BY CONSUL AT THE SAUDI EMBASSY WALID MUQIM AND A NUMBER OF OFFICIALS.
