Women Development Organization Ministerial Council virtually held yesterday its extraordinary meeting. During the meeting, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen affirmed that the starting of the work and operating of the women's organization will contribute to empowering women and strengthening their role in the development process in member states. In a speech delivered on his behalf by Assistant Secretary General for Humanitarian, Cultural and Social Affairs of the Organization, Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit, Dr. Al-Othaimeen expressed his thanks to the government and people of Egypt for their invitation to hold this meeting, and efforts and arrangements made for its success, along with the government of Burkina Faso.
