The works of the 43rd session of the Islamic Economic, Cultural and Social Committee were launched here today from 4 to 6 February 2020. This event comes following a series of preparatory meetings for the 47th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, which will be held in Niamey, Niger, from 3 to 4 April 2020. In the opening session, the speech of the OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, which was delivered on his behalf by OIC Assistant Secretary General for Humanitarian, Social and Cultural Affairs Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit, affirmed the importance of this session, which reviewed the various decisions submitted to the upcoming Ministerial Conference in the economic, social and cultural fields.
