The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the terrorist attacks that hit at army posts in Burkina Faso during the week, leaving dozens killed and more injured. OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen sent his condolences to the families of the victims and to the government of Burkina Faso, stressing that protecting and preserving human life is a moral responsibility, both individual and collective. Those who resort to violence and aggression, he went on, should be brought to account to enable the country to live under the rule of law with security and stability for all. The OIC is firm in its rejection of terrorism in all its forms, Dr. Al-Othaimeen added, affirming the Organization's readiness to support the region's countries in their counterterrorism efforts.
