Twelve people were killed and nine others injured when a mini-bus skidded off a road and plunged into the river Neelam in Pakistani-administered Kashmir, a news report said on Thursday. Police were unsure what caused the accident that occurred Wednesday evening near Athmuqam district, five kilometers away from the valley's capital of Muzaffarabad, the English language daily Dawn reported. After the driver lost control of the vehicle the mini-bus fell more than 300 feet and hit the rocky riverbank. All the twelve bodies have been recovered. Most of the injured were in critical condition.
