Police say a bus veered off a mountain road in western Nepal, killing at least 16 people and injuring 20 others in the country's second serious bus accident in two days. Police say the bus plunged off the road just before dawn Wednesday near Kadhamandau village, about 250 miles (400 kilometers) west of Katmandu. The cause of the accident is being investigated, according to a report of the Associated Press. Another bus skidded off a mountain road in central Nepal on Tuesday, tumbling about 1,000 feet (300 meters) down a slope and killing at least 12 people. More than two dozen people were taken to nearby hospitals.
