A mosque partially collapsed in the historic Medina district of Fez, killing 10 people and injuring five on Thursday, the state news agency MAP reported. The tragic string of events was set in motion when an adjacent building collapsed onto the mosque, causing a partial collapse of the house of worship. There were around 50 worshippers in the Ain Khalil mosque at the time of the accident. Six victims were found dead in the rubble, while four people died later in hospitals. Fez and the Medina historical district are major tourist attractions, however many of the buildings no longer are architecturally sound --SP 0001 Local Time 2101 GMT
