The ruins of houses in the historic area of Jeddah constitute a threat to public safety. The latest collapse, occurring Friday, resulted in emergency efforts to successfully rescue four people from the rubble. Some 500 houses in the zone have either entirely or partially collapsed. (Okaz photo)
