Saudi Press: Different Independent Global Bodies Praise Saudi Experience in Distance Education

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Yaum and Okaz newspapers said in their editorials that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts in dealing with the effects and consequences of the global pandemic (COVID-19) in the way that ensures the continuation of the normal life cycle with commercial, industrial, educational and all vital aspects reflects its ability to strategic planning and accuracy in anticipating the challenges.
The papers pointed to the statement of the General Supervisor of the General Administration of E-Learning and Distance Education at the Ministry of Education, Dr. Ahoud Al-Faris, at the "Distance Education Week" forum of UNESCO, who has reviewed the Kingdom's efforts in ensuring the continuity of education, and to preserve the safety of male and female students.
The papers emphasized that 6 different independent global bodies have praised Saudi experience in distance education to be best evidence of its success rapid electronic transformation, pointing out that the government of Saudi Arabia has used multiple options that were able to provide solutions during the Corona pandemic.
Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has declared, since assumed the presidency of the G20, its commitment to continue the outcome of Osaka summit to strengthen global consensus, and to cooperate with the group's partners to achieve tangible achievements and seize opportunities to address future challenges.
The paper added that despite the impacts of Corona pandemic on the world's countries, Saudi Arabia continued its efforts to fully assume its presidential responsibility and was able to achieve great success in addressing the crisis and pushing the global economy to recover.
The paper pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has managed to organize and manage all ministerial meetings and working groups that have exceeded one hundred virtual meetings, as their outputs will be on the agenda of the extraordinary summit that will be held next month.
The paper concluded that the upcoming summit will focus on protecting lives and restoring growth by dealing with the pandemic and overcoming its impacts.
