Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad and Al-Yaum newspapers said in their editorials that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, since assuming the presidency of the G20, has placed addressing the effects and repercussions of Coronavirus pandemic at the core of its concerns and has made the utmost effort in mobilizing the world to protect lives and help developing and poorer countries. The papers added that Saudi Arabia called for an exceptional summit headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as it resulted in restore confidence and reduce disruptions facing trade and global supply chains. The papers pointed out the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques reiterated, in his speech at the conclusion of the U20 Urban Community Communication Group summit, the emphasis on moving forward to overcome the pandemic and continuing efforts to reach a vaccine for the virus and make it available to all. The paper concluded that the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques attached great importance to the development of urban societies and the shift towards smart cities, infrastructure investments and regional integration. Okaz newspaper said in its editorial that the participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the signing ceremony of the Juba peace agreement reflects its solidarity and standing with the brotherly Sudanese people, as well as its determination to continue supporting the Sudanese people to achieve their great aspirations and hopes. The paper added that many situations and events showed Saudi Arabia's commitment to standing at the same distance and close to all segments of the Sudanese people, and its support for them to create a new future based on foundations of peaceful coexistence, justice and equal opportunities. The paper concluded by emphasizing that Saudi efforts with regional partners confirm its approach calling for peace, rebuilding homelands, preserving human life, and contributing to the development of Arab countries.
